Ask a Question
  • I need to break a grip habit that my teammates notice. I am right handed and grip my racket with my thumb sticking in line and straight up the handle of the racket rather than bringing my thumb around the racket near the middle of the pointer and middle finger. Imagine what it looks like when someone gives you the thumbs up, that's how I feel comfortable holding the racket. I think this is a cross over tendency from my golf swing where I use my thumb straight in line with the grip. Perhaps it's also not favorable in golf too. To me it feels like my thumb is giving me extra support and a firm controlled feeling. When I try and use the roll around method the racket feels loose and flimsy. But when I do try it more than 60% of the shots are good but I'm unable to apply power. Any tips, tricks pointers????
